Well, it's been a long time since I've done anything here. I just opened the page today, and was impressed to see "This page last updated on 5/11/99! Wow, I'm really on the ball, huh?

Well, a lot has happened in three and a half years. Hell, I don't even have the alkaholick screenname anymore. Back in mid-1999, all I knew about the future was that I was moving to a state I had visited once, to live with someone I had met 4 times, but who I knew I wanted to share my life with. I was leaving a fairly successful career in advertising and I didn't even know how I was going to support myself, much less a family.

In the end though, I think everything has worked out rather well. I've replaced my advertising career with a career in the Insurance industry, and, thankfully, it's not selling the stuff. And last weekend, I finally got engaged, to the same wonderful person who started me on this whirlwind tour in the first place.

Anyway, this is just the bare-bones BS that comes with starting the page up again, and I'll get around to re-stablishing the links over the next couple of weeks. So, come on back and check up on me again sometime!
